action and event photography
spending time by the Caribbean, Lake Michigan, Idaho, Nova Scotia, London, Utah, Empire, Maine, the Pacific - and flowing on, the water is the water. And the Huron River in Michigan is my backyard. I opt for any stream that meanders.
landscapes without animals in them??? No!
I like pictures of people doing things and loving the moment.
I love trees. I am now studying forest acoustics and will be making some videos where the biosphere speaks. Sounds good, doesn't it?
Structures are fascinating, made for both the living and the dead. They speak about culture and climate and need - cement for living in NYC, snow for the Arctic; temporary as in spider webs; utilitarian as cardboard except when it rains; creative as a mole tunnel; forever as a cave.
I have been writing articles about horses, art, philanthropy and vet medicine - as well as many, many appraisal reports - for 40 years. I supplied photos for many of them.
I have links below to articles. Below this list of links is a miscellany of published material: a few sample articles; photos that accompanied articles; some websites built using my layout, photos and edits.

Take a photo trip with us to the Dominican Republic. We base at my house in Casa de Campo, in the southeast corner of the island. Join us for 5 - 7 days photographing behind-the-scenes polo, village life, old world Santo Domingo, the National Parks - or tell us what you'd like to shoot and we can customize a trip. When not shooting pictures, you can play golf on top Caribbean courses such as Teeth of the Dog; trail ride; play polo; shoot clays; swim in the ocean or pools; try clay court tennis; fish; eat well....
